The image below has three area that are links to other web sites. If you move the mouse over the public phone, the people or the cellular phone you will notice how the mouse pointer turns into a little hand. If you click when the mouse is a little hand another window opens to a new web site.

This technique could also be used, to click on a park on a map and bring up mapquest to find directions to that park.
